HOW TO DELETE A PAGE IN GOOGLE DOCS
To make your document look perfect in Google docs you got to format and edit a bit at times.
Sometimes you might find an extra page within your document and would want to get rid of it. Documents with extra spacing can look unprofessional. You might have copied something from a place with different formatting creating page breaks in your document. If you’re working on Google Docs there are certain ways through which you can delete an extra page.

THE EASIEST WAY IS TO GET RID OF THE UNWANTED TEXT
If there’s too much content in your document and you wish to omit one or two pages. Click and drag the cursor to highlight the extra text and images and then press the backspace or delete key on your keyboard. The pages and the content that they carry would be deleted.
Also, deleting paragraphs or sentences from different portions of the entire document, would help in getting rid of an extra page. A page’s worth of text can be omitted from different parts of the entire document. These can be extra paragraphs, sentences, or images. Empty line breaks consume spaces too. So, make sure that you delete extra unwanted spaces in the form of empty line breaks.
ADJUST THE MARGINS IN GOOGLE DOCS
Sometimes the margins are too large and thus consume a lot of space.
To get rid of this:
- Click “File” on the left side of the toolbar at the top of the document
- A dropdown menu will appear
- Click “Page setup”
- A pop-up box will appear.
- Set the margin size according to your preference. Smaller number and the margin size would be smaller. If the issue is with the margins being too large, then fixing the size of the margins can help free up a lot of space in your document.
DELETE AN EXTRA PAGE IN GOOGLE DOCS
Before you try anything more time-consuming, just hit Delete. Highlight the blank space and hit delete or backspace. You might add a blank page break to your document by accident. You can get rid of the blank space taking up an entire page by simply placing the cursor immediately after the blank space, and clicking backspace or delete until the page disappears.

CHECK CUSTOM SPACING
Google Docs adds an amount of space after a paragraph. It may result in an extra page in the document. To fix the custom spacing, click “Format” and then select “Line spacing”. In the popup menu, go to Custom spacing and change the value after the paragraph to 0.
