The first and initial rumor came by a company from South Korea, The Elec. the site claimed that Apple has been testing the new model of AirPods. The testing has reached the final stage. The site also claimed that the final testing would be completed by the end of the year 2020 and we might see the launch of the device in the first half of the 2021.

Next comes a row full of rumors and speculations. The next rumor was a bit specific. A tweet was made by LeaksApplePro on Twitter claiming that the AirPods are all ready for a launch on 21 March 2021. Twitter accounts like these have a huge hand in marketing products for the company. Some of these tweet are even true, that is why, these statements just bring more and more confusion as well as a lot of excitement. Another tweet regarding the announced of the AirPods in 2021 was made by Bloombery back in October 2020.
Another rumors and a more trusted one came from an Apple insider MacRumors, suggesting that the device will be coming out in the market in the first half of the year 2021.

The South Korean site The Elec claimed that the AirPods 3 is the previously rumored AirPods Lite. The site further claimed that the new device will be 20% cheaper than the AirPods Pro.
The AirPods Pro costs around $249.00. If we consider that the new device will be 20% cheaper than the Pro. Then, the AirPods 3 will cost around $199.00.
Now this is where things get interesting. The leaks claim that the new device will be cheaper and budget friendly. But if we look at the price of the Apple AirPods 2, the previous model is priced at $159.00.

This means that the AirPods 3 might be expensive than the AirPods 2. So then we wonder where is the budget friendly feature?
However these are merely speculations. We are still expecting the company to properly announce the device and hoping that it comes as a budget-friendly device.
