A new FSW website popped up on Feb. 25. Not everyone saw it coming, and not everyone is comfortable using it.
The website homepage is geared towards new students considering FSW. The page features rotating facts about student success and a prominent link to student and alumni success stories.
“We have to be better at telling our success stories. The website is part of doing that,” said Greg Turchetta, executive director for marketing and media. Turchetta helmed the website redesign.
The links to Canvas, Portal and the staff directory are still in the same place, but links to other websites used by students, like the library homepage, were moved.
“The old website was a repository of links,” said Turchetta, “There were a 100 things to click on.
“As long as I can log into my portal, I don’t really look at the front page,” said Josey Diaz, a second year student and Compass staffer.
